Boise Little Theater is pleased to announce auditions for "Irving Berlin's White Christmas" Book by David Ives and Paul Blake Directed by Wendy Koeppl.
The stage adaptation of the classic film tells the story of two showbiz buddies who stage a winter show in a picturesque Vermont inn, and find their perfect mates in the bargain. Irving Berlin's White Christmas is a merry and bright musical experience full of dancing, laughter, and some of the greatest songs ever written. This family musical for all ages will open at Boise Little Theater November 26, 27, December 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, 18 at 8pm, December 2 & 9 at 7:30pm and December 5 & 11 at 2pm.
Auditions: July 10 & 11, 2010 at the theater. Needed are 2 men - late 20's to 40's; 1 man - 50's to 60's; 2 women - 20's to 30's; 1 woman - 40's to 60's; 1 girl - 9 to 12. Several male and female dancers age 18 to 30's; other men and women, ages 18 to 70. Also looking for 2 boys and 2 girls ages 8 to 12 with dance experience. All auditioners should prepare a short song to be sung with recorded accompaniment or a cappella. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes appropriate for dancing. Please note, the rehearsal and performance schedule is demanding. Actors should consider if they are prepared to make the full commitment. Rehearsals start in August, one to two nights a week, and increase to 3 to 5 nights a week until opening.
